I don’t know why I brought two books with my on our trip. I knew I would only get a few minutes to read here and there. I made progress - but only a little - in The Handmaid’s Tale. At least I hit where the “action” starts. I forgot how long it took this book to take off. Also, this book is so uncomfortable to read right now. The politics seems all too real.

• While in Key West, we went to dinner at First Flight. This microbrewery is in the building where Pan-Am airlines got it's start. The food was great, but we really enjoyed the Nuts & Bolts amber ale. It had a delightfully creamy mouthfeel and hints of chocolate and pecan. If we didn't fly home, some of this would have come with us.  [First Flight]

• For Thanksgiving to feel like Thanksgiving, I need turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I also need orange glazed carrots. These started to grace our table when I was a kid and quickly became my favorite vegetable side. Carrots on their own are good, but the citrus kick elevates them while also bringing a fresh note to a heavy plate of food. [My Evernote]

Our library subscribes to the AP Stylebook. It’s useful for our University marketing as well as our English and Digital Media Program. I also use it for my person needs (although I am Team Oxford Comma). If you like keeping up with this writing style, I highly recommend their newsletter. The monthly issues are timed to recent events and what’s happening in the calendar. The information is always relevant with, sometimes, a hint of sass and humor.

I need to put together all of my final marketing and cheerleading support material for finals week. I’m trying to think of new things so I don’t fall back on my usual stuff.
