Please consider giving $5 to courageous journalism that tells the truth about what’s happening in Gaza

This Giving Tuesday comes at an especially pivotal moment. Not just because of the urgent need to tell the world about the horror in Gaza, but also because so many other journalists and politicians are busy sweeping Israel’s atrocities under the rug.

When I started as The Intercept’s CEO earlier this year, I circled Giving Tuesday on the calendar — with so many donations coming in a single day, it’s a make-or-break moment for our annual budget.

But this year, Giving Tuesday comes at an especially pivotal moment. Not just because of the urgent need to tell the world about the horror in Gaza, but also because so many other journalists and politicians are busy sweeping Israel’s atrocities under the rug.

In this climate of fear and enforced consensus, I’m inspired by how The Intercept’s reporters and editors have rallied to the task of publishing sharp, courageous journalism that exposes how U.S. weapons and dollars fuel the mass murder of Palestinian civilians.

And I know that, as a loyal Intercept reader, you share my commitment to ensuring that our team can continue to deepen this coverage without worrying about financial constraints.

That’s why we’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $350,000 before midnight tomorrow — and we still have $35,000 to go. Can you chip in?

Thank you,

Annie Chabel
Chief Executive Officer
