Better Sheets - Automate Your Work For Free

If you ever wondered what it's like to code, I made it super easy to learn to code in Google Sheets.

My software story started in Excel. Learning Excel VBA because I was lazy at my job and didn't want to copy/paste row after row after row every day 7 days a week.

I was working on cruise ships where our work week was literally 7 days a week. Anything I could do to automate my job away was worthwhile. So I learned VBA.

Cut to a few years later and I moved to a company that used Google Sheets. There was, at the time, I thought definitely something like VBA in Google Sheets. It was called Google Script. I think the "Apps Script" name change came way later.

Well I learned Google Sheets Script and in about 2 weeks wrote my first line of code.

Totally unwarranted.

Nobody asked me. I just did it to help my coworkers.

2 months after that I got promoted to "do more of that google sheets stuff."

That was literally more than 10 years ago (September 2013, I'll never forget my first day on the job was the day after Labor Day)

I hope you can learn to code too.
