All season-long premium subscribers will receive exclusive previews for the upcoming round of Bundesliga fixtures. Today, game week 24 kicks off! Out of of form Borussia Dortmund face a difficult encounter in East Berlin, FC Köln and Bayer Leverkusen contest a heated Rhein Derby, and there are countless other exciting encounters to keep you entertained throughout the entire weekend. SC Freiburg v FC BayernEcstacy in the Europa League was quickly put to rest again in Freiburg as Die Breisgauer suffered their 5th consecutive Bundesliga match without a win. Christian Streich’s side opened the scoring for the first time since the 20th of January, but as the game wore on, the impact of Thursday’s 120-minute battle against RC Lens took its toll. Two second-half goals from FC Augsburg saw the visitors take all 3 points, sinking SC Freiburg further down the table. Since the start of the Rückrunde (the second half of the Bundesliga season), Freiburg have taken just 4 points and conceded a colossal 16 goals. Across this timeframe, only SV Darmstadt have collected fewer points, while none of the remaining 17 topflight clubs have conceded more goals. With such a shaky defensive construct, FC Bayern is the last side Freiburg would have wanted to welcome into town this Friday. For all his faults this season, Der Rekordmeister’s attack remains the pick of the litter in the Bundesliga. They have scored a league-high 63 goals after 23 matchdays. At the forefront of this scoring output is the indisputable Harry Kane. Amidst so much dysfunction and turmoil in Munich, the English international remains a scoring sensation in his first Bundesliga season. He scored his 26th and 27th goals of the campaign against RB Leipzig last Saturday. With 11 matches to play, Kane is just 14 goals away from equaling Robert Lewandowski’s single-season record from the 2020/21 campaign (41). To counter Bayern’s scoring sensation Freiburg will be happy to welcome two veteran defenders - Matthias Ginter and Christian Günter - back into the side, but even these two German internationals won’t help Freiburg’s status as stark outsiders in this Friday evening encounter. Freiburg haven’t won any of their last 15 Bundesliga encounters against FC Bayern, with their last victory in the topflight dating back to May 2015. Prediction: FC Bayern Win Union Berlin v Borussia DortmundRelegation fears and losing streaks are a thing of the past in Berlin. Die Eiserne are climbing up the table with each passing week. A 2:2 draw against FC Heidenheim is a solid result in the club’s home venue which has become a fortress again under Nenad Bjelica. Die Eiserne haven’t lost any of their last 5 home matches, taking 13 of a possible 15 points. ...
