I occasionally write personal updates and miscellaneous thoughts to this smaller group. I think of it more like a blog or a letter to friends. 🫶 Life Lately: On settling into new routines, challenging my homebody tendencies, and friendshipsLife moved at warp speed in March. We sold our old house, moved, started daycare, and I was able to fully jump back into work. Whew! Now that all that’s behind us, I’m feeling more settled and happy to be back in a routine. A big part of that has been feeling more comfortable in our new home. After some hand-wringing, we finally hung up some art (my lesson learned: just hang the art! even if it’s not the “perfect” piece), thanks to an assist from my FIL. :) I no longer open up the wrong drawers to get to our utensils. I know just how much I have to turn each water faucet or the showerhead to get the exact temperature I want. I’ve cooked and even baked (!) in our kitchen. Most (keyword: most) of my clothes have been neatly folded and put away. I’m moving past the bare minimum of functioning and inching closer to getting inspired again to decorate and create a space that feels cozy and beautiful (more on that below)...
