I’m back this week with a few cool improvements made by Notion here and there + a free template that buzzed last week!

News: Properties Rearrangement in Notion

This week, Notion made a little improvement to the list layout of databases. You can now rearrange properties to appear before the name in list views!

This is very handy for tasks if you want to show a checkbox before your task name for example.

I really enjoy those little enhancement Notion shoots every week! How long were you looking forward to this one?

Tip: Importing PDF Data into Notion

I recently came across this new feature from Notion: the PDF importer!

Its main function is to transform a PDF file into an editable page within the platform while you're importing it.

Don’t you agree that it can be incredibly useful for various tasks? I tested this out using a document as my first trial run, and I must say, the results were quite impressive. The PDF was converted into a Notion page with a high degree of accuracy, making the content easy to work with right within my workspace!

To import your data, simply navigate to the sidebar and click on "Import." There, you will find several options, including the ability to upload a PDF file.

Database Text Sorting Improvements

If you haven't been keeping up with the recent enhancements made to the database user interface in Notion, here are all the new cool updates:

1. Numbers are now sorted by numeric value instead of by character

2. Sorts now ignore the “@” character in mentions (pages, dates, people)

3. Date mentions are now sorted chronologically instead of alphabetically

4. Capitalization is now preferred for otherwise identical text values

5. Accented characters are now more accurately sorted
