A round-up of the 5 most interesting sites added to Raptive and Mediavine over the last 30 days

Mediavine and Raptive have had a very active last 30 days - adding about 120 new sites between them (as tracked by Display Ad Daily).

As a reminder, this monthly round-up email only showcases sites that just recently met the traffic requirements of Mediavine or Raptive.

Their traffic charts almost all look like this...

That way we're looking at sites that Google is rewarding right now - as we speak.

But for this week's edition, I took things a step further - I only highlighted sites that have had explosive growth and have a Domain Rating of 3 or less.

Yup, you read that right - a DR of 3 or less and they made it on to Mediavine/Raptive.

PLUS all five sites are in different niches - Travel, Food, Pop Culture News, Spirituality and a Personal Blog.

The thing that is most interesting/exciting to me is that each and every one of these niche site examples feels very achievable!

1. Adventures by Lana

• Total pages: 82 pages

This is an example of a very typical/classic travel blog. Lana writes about the best places to visit, restaurants to eat at and even provides free travel itineraries.

It's very clearly a content site, and is pretty exclusively targeting long tail keywords.

Of note, it's fairly obvious that Lana has been to all the places she writes about - it looks like every single photo is unique (her own) and she is personally in many of them.

2. Koken Met Maarten

• Total pages: 100 pages

Another traditional content site/blog - this time in the food niche (East Asian cuisine to be specific).

It's hard to tell exactly, but it does look like the photos are all original and unique - many of them are watermarked.

The recipes are interesting and easy to follow, but admittedly this is a pretty "vanilla", generic food blog - and they are currently being rewarded!

3. Pop Culture Wonders

Pop Culture Wonders covers all things Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. They write about everything from Disney themed McDonald's toys, to different Encanto cake ideas.

4. Marisa D'Amore

This is the personal blog of Marisa D'Amore - a "Christian speaker, blogger and podcaster".

It's pretty clear that almost 100% of the organic traffic she's getting to her site is from bible verse round up blog posts.

So for example, 22 bible verses for sports or 25 bible verses to start the day, etc. She has hundreds of these types of posts.

5. Sacred Symbo

• Organic traffic: ~30,000 visitors
• Total pages: 246 pages

Last but not least is Sacred Symbo. Another pure content site focused on the "spiritual meaning" of animals.

This site is very similar to a site I showcased on here last month (spiritanimals.org) which appears to have been hit by the latest algo update. Traffic is heading down on that site, and fast.

It will be interesting to monitor this site and see if it has a similar fate...

BONUS: All Crystal

Ok, this site breaks my DR 3 or less rule, but I had to share it with you.

350k pageviews in less than one year! Staggering growth.

This entire site is focused on the different types of crystals, and it turns out there are TONS.

They've added a lot of content and quickly - ~1500 pages in a year.

Looking at the site a bit closer it appears they are probably? using some combination of programatic SEO and AI in order to achieve that high content velocity.

So far, so good!

Lots of talk lately about content sites being "dead", but I'm not so sure.

It will be interesting to monitor these sites over the coming months.

I think every quarter or so I will do a summary of all the sites I've highlighted, and share which ones are continuing to do well, and which ones have been hit by an update.
