Today is the first day it actually feels like spring in New York City, and to say I’m ecstatic would be an understatement. Now that the temps are officially rising, I’m pulling out all the stops with my warm-weather wardrobe. And luckily, Coachella is providing endless outfit inspiration to help get me started. Taylor Swift, for instance, just rocked a wallet-friendly pleated miniskirt at the festival over the weekend — and, naturally, it’s sitting in my cart. Speaking of preppy staples, I’m not mad about the boat shoe comeback. Sure, it may conjure up images from high school when I couldn’t get enough of my Sperry shoes. But this time around, it’s especially elevated (thank you very much, Miu Miu). In other words? Catch me fully embracing the preppy aesthetic over the next few months.
