Beanless coffee startup opens new Seattle roastery

Atomo, the 5-year-old coffee startup, opened a new Seattle roastery to help spread the use of its beanless, sustainable grounds. Production at the 33,000-square-foot facility will start with espresso, which Atomo will serve through partner coffee shops around the U.S. “We started the business to make the world a better place. To do that you have to do it at scale,” said Atomo co-founder and CEO Andy Kleitsch. Read more.
