An 8-year-old Zimbabwean boy, Tinotenda Pudu, survived five days alone in a dangerous game park after straying 14 miles from his rural home, surrounded by approximately 40 lions and passing elephants.

The boy demonstrated remarkable survival skills, sleeping on a rocky perch, gathering wild fruits, and digging small wells in dry riverbeds for water—a drought-survival technique common to the region.

Local community members beat drums daily to guide him home until Park rangers finally spotted his footprints and rescued the exhausted child.

Local resident Kishan Patel used a drone to help rescue a 20-month-old sheepadoodle named Brooklyn after she spent nearly 24 hours stranded on frozen Lake Parsippany in New Jersey.

The dog, who had escaped from her dogsitter on Christmas Eve, repeatedly evaded rescue attempts until Patel used a drone equipped with chicken bait to help locate her. Watch a report here.

After police officers determined the ice's safety, they managed to spook Brooklyn off the lake, and she was later found hiding on someone's front porch.

In December 2023, wedding photographer Darian Kaia went viral after posting a humorous video on social media, predicting that she would be married by the end of 2024. At the time, she had been single for nearly five years.

Her unexpected journey to the altar began when she lost a bet that required her to join the dating app Hinge. On a whim, she set her location to Montana, where she matched with John Chelini, a local custom home builder.

Their whirlwind romance culminated in an intimate wedding ceremony in December 2024, held in her grandmother's living room. The couple moved up their original January 2025 wedding date to ensure her grandmother, who had been diagnosed with brain cancer, could attend. See a photo here.
