Helping organizations accelerate software delivery

I provide consulting and training services that help organizations improve their architecture and accelerate software delivery.

I can, for example, review your microservice architecture and identify areas of improvement, or teach a workshop on how to design a microservice architecture.

I also can teach a 1 day workshop Microservices rules: what good looks like that can help you decide whether microservices are a good fit for your application.

South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and India

In April and May, I'll be making trips to Asia. If you are interested in a workshop or consulting engagement at your company, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I'll also be available for remote engagements in those timezones.

I'm very excited to announce that I'll be teaching a new public workshop in June: architecting for fast, sustainable flow.

In this workshop you will learn about architectures that enable fast flow developing using DevOps and Team topologies. I cover both modular monolith and microservice architecture patterns.

The workshop will be taught in multiple timezones to support a global audience.

The success triangle reinterpreted: it's all about fast flow

SuccessTriangle_Fast_Flow image

The core idea of the success triangle, which I introduced in my 2018 book Microservices patterns, is that the rapid, frequent, reliable and sustainable delivery of software requires three elements: DevOps (as defined by the DevOps handbook), Team Topologies and Architecture. In this article, I reinterpret the success triangle from the perspective of fast flow.

Doing more with less: Buy don't build using DDD

doing-more-with-less-ddd image

I’ve just published a new premium article Doing more with less, part 2: Buy don’t build using DDD. It describes how to use DDD subdomain types to identify those parts of your application you should buy instead of building. This will free up resources to focus on building those parts of the application that provide a competitive advantage.
