It's such a sad email to get, "REJECTED"

and I just got it a few times in the past week.

Been working on getting my 7th Google Sheets Add-on into the marketplace. This one will improve two native Google Sheet formulas that I think could just be done better. One litearlly has a bug that google should fix but hasn't. And the other formula adds more use cases than Google's own native formula covers.

In the past I've always gotten a rejection email. Every single time I submit the store listing. It literally happens every time. So much so that I got frustrated when none of the blogs ever mentioned this. It felt frustrating and lonely.

I made it a point to include a video of my own rejection letter in the course I ultimately put out about pushing a Google Sheets add-on. It's the literal steps I take to make the add-on, the app store listing, the oAuth screen, the rejection email. Everything is in the videos.

This week I had to go back and review my own videos to see what I did the last time I got an add-on accepted. It helped.

I just fixed the issues and republished, reapplied, and hoped.

So strange to hear, right? My own course helped me.
