Welcome to the 226th edition of the Play to Earn newsletter!

More volatility in the crypto markets, but aside from the depression of token and game asset prices, web3 gaming seems mostly un-phased. So let’s get to some of the latest news this week!

Pixels just isn’t stopping. Not only are they showing a crazy amount of player retention, but they also continue to expand their integrations, adding PlayEmber’s Embys to the growing list of third party avatars that can be used in the Pixels game. A recent in-game party saw over 125 participants! Check out the Milk Road Radio interview with Pixels CEO, Luke Barwikowski to learn a little bit more about this record-breaking web3 game.

New playtests abound. Some recent additions include Farcana, who has been holding a few play and earn sessions, and Wanderers, who just kicked off their first closed beta on May 3rd.

My Neighbor Alice has also held a number of playtests. The latest, beta season 1, opened in mid-April bringing the first stages of in-game, player to player trades!

NFT minting is hot as well, with projects such as Paradise Tycoon (note: Paradise Tycoon has delayed their Golden Pass mint and will announce a new date soon), Chronos Worlds, and many other mints seeing heavy competition for whitelist spots.

An if you need something to play, there are certainly plenty of options.

The Dimension X Arenas are still open, giving players an equal opportunity to place on the leaderboards and earn prizes, including tokens! Illuvium’s next big playtest is coming in May, the latest MetalCore play and earn session is up for the weekend, participants in the Worldshards beta can find cosmetic NFTs, The Machines Arena opened up ranked PvP in their latest beta, and many, many more!

Voxie Tactics just released a new build this week. Though the game is the same, the new Unity-based client should help them develop them game more quickly going forward. You can join now for free and win VOXEL tokens!
