Today we’re listening to Ai Yamamoto, a Japanese electronic music producer based in Melbourne, Australia. We discovered her music via marine eyes’ latest women of ambient mix. Yamamoto has been making music since the early aughts, channeling human reality through synthesizers and field recordings. First we’re playing Love Me Tender from 2021, which is an ambient record that soothingly consists mostly of synth pads that lay you down easy. We’re also playing her 2021 record Pan De Sonic - Iso, which sampled everyday life and made music out of a chaotic time. We select a couple more records on our Flow State Today playlist too.
