Flow State - The Seven Fields of Aphelion
Welcome back to Flow State, your daily instrumental music newsletter. Paid subscribers get our private daily Spotify playlist, unlock the weekly Tuesday podcast, and keep the newsletter alive. You can upgrade to the paid tier here (20% off this week only). Good morning. Today we’re listening to The Seven Fields of Aphelion, an ambient music project from keyboardist and composer Maureen “Maux” Boyle. We found her music via marine eyes’s women of ambient mix from earlier this month. Based in Pittsburgh, Boyle plays keys in the band Black Moth Super Rainbow. As Seven Fields she creates contemplative synth loops, with occasional distortion effects and acoustic piano accompaniment. We’re playing her solo debut LP, Periphery, which came out in 2010, as well as the follow-up LP, Keep the Ocean Inside, from 2017. Periphery - The Seven Fields of Aphelion (50m, no vocals) Keep the Ocean Inside - The Seven Fields of Aphelion (50m, some wordless vocals) We wish you a great start to your week. |
