Underrepresented founders faced widening interest and funding gaps in 2023

DocSend's latest Funding Divide report reveals that the venture slowdown of 2023 disproportionately affected underrepresented founders. As the startup ecosystem stands at an inflection point, the report highlights the need for investors to reignite movement toward more equitable funding outcomes.

Weekly PDI metrics

Investor activity rose last week after two weeks of declines, whereas founder activity dipped after two weeks of sharp increases. VCs upped their pace last week, increasing activity by 2.7%.
