It’s Friday so we’re listening to something more upbeat. Today we’re listening to Bodhi, a Welsh electronic duo from Cardiff. They’ve been in our dance music rotation for some time, but it took Shawn Reynaldo to draw our attention to their EP from last year, Edge of Blue, which he called “one of 2023’s underrated gems.” It’s a propulsive, driving extended player that lasts a full thirty, though seven of those minutes are an extended edit of a prior track. We’re pairing Edge with Bodhi’s 2017 EP, The Nightshift, which harkens back to ‘90s house and hip-hop. We picked a few more of their singles and EPs on the subscribers-only Flow State Today playlist.
