Spotify announced on Thursday that it’s venturing further into the ad space with its first in-house creative agency called Creative Lab, helping brands create custom marketing campaigns. It will also begin testing generative AI ads, the company said.

The launch of Creative Lab shows that Spotify is ramping up its efforts to attract advertisers to the platform. This could likely be an attractive offering for marketers, as they’ll be able to reach Spotify’s 615 million listeners. 

⭐️ Glastonbury and Spotify team up to launch an official Glastonbury festival app

If you’re at Glastonbury this year or watching at home with the BBC, you can curate your experience with the Spotify-integrated Glastonbury 2024 app.

The festival and the streaming platform are joining forces this year for Vodafone’s official Glastonbury app, available on iOS and Android. The app aims to make planning the festival experience easier, with all the crucial info about artists, stages, and set times, so fans can create their own personal festival calendar.

⭐️ Spotify will start showing you personalized banners and messages based on your listening habits

Spotify has launched a new campaign that's meant to make users' audio streaming experience on the platform even more personalized. The "My Spotify" initiative will show users home page banners and personalized messages within the app that contain information about their listening habits, along with links to mixes that they'd presumably enjoy based on those habits.

In one of the examples above, for instance, Spotify presented a user with a banner that links to a Doja Cat mix, because they've listened to the rapper's tracks 58 times over the past month.
