A lot has happened since my last email. I’m writing this as I wait for the plane taking me from Cannes to Lisbon and thankfully feel much better.

Annnnd drumroll 🥁 — we launched Threads!

That’s right, you can now schedule your Threads content in Buffer — even on the Free plan

We’ve been talking Threads since before the app was released, so rolling it out to all Buffer users is a massive win for us.

If you haven’t created an account yet or haven’t been posting much, take this as your sign to dive in and schedule some content.

One great thing about posting on Threads is that you don’t always have to worry about creating visual content, so less creating and crafting is required compared to sharing on platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn.

Here are some ideas to keep your Threads calendar full:

• Introduce yourself or your brand — you’ll get a lot of engagement from the user base that’s always happy to see a new adopter, plus a neat little “First thread” badge.
• Spark genuine engagement by starting and participating in conversations. Even better, create an anchor for your brand identity, whether that’s slightly unhinged content or community-focused events like our #Bufferchats.
• Share polls to gather valuable insights into your followers’ preferences and opinions.
• Join in on trends, but make sure to mold them to your content style. Trends are a great way to establish a habit of consistency
• Ask open-ended questions, the bread and butter of Threads posts. Users take them in all directions from the genuine to the hilarious, so get creative with yours.
• Reuse and repurpose your content from other platforms to work smarter, not harder.

One of the best ways to repurpose content: Take a trend from one platform and turn it into content for another.

Let's look at all of these TikTok/Reels trends I’ve mentioned recently:

• Please Please Please
• Is somebody gonna match my freak?
• Looking for a man in finance

And you can easily turn them into Threads content! Just take the captions you used on your video and write them out for your next thread!
