Everything you loved in June

Clockwise, from left to right: A portable camping chair, a window AC unit, and bug spray.

Happy July. Unsurprisingly, Wirecutter readers spent last month looking for products to keep them cool. A couple of our favorite air conditioners topped the most-popular list, as did our favorite breezy sheets, powerful fans, and ice cream maker. And other readers smartly coped with the heat by simply escaping it, jetsetting away with our favorite carry-on luggage and travel pillow in tow. Thanks for sweating it out with us.

One last thing: What we bought

A pair of Reebok Club C 85 Vintage Shoes.

This was quite the shoppy month for your newsletter editors. Can you blame us? Please don’t.

  • Brittney upgraded her blah flip-flops for a bright pair of waterproof Birks. She also finally caved and got a pair of Reebok sneakers, and is loving the splash of bright green they add to every outfit.
  • Haley cut her hair into a bob and really wanted this chic hair pin to put it half-up-half-down, but it sold out so fast. Sad. For those with hair longer than a bob (sorry, Haley), we love these under-$1 claw clips.
  • Sofia, who has not been camping in a decade, was convinced to get this camping chair because it’s tiny, portable, and perfect for park hangs. It also happens to fit perfectly in the navy Boat and Tote she snagged during Wirecutter’s exclusive summer deal event a few weeks ago.

Plus: If you’ve thought about smartening up your home but don’t know where to start, our smart home editors are answering your questions over on Reddit.

You can reach the Wirecutter Newsletters team at newsletters@wirecutter.com. We can’t always respond, but we do love to hear from you.
