A common experience for Japanese people living abroad: When searching for a keyword that is only in kanji, and Chinese search results appear, they adjust the results to show only Japanese by adding something like "to" (what is the Japanese word for "what is the Japanese word for "?")

Build a Chrome extension that adds lr=lang_ja to search results, which should solve the problem.
