ABC Plans to Air Biden Interview Tonight

In a change of plans, ABC News says it will air its interview with President Biden in its entirety tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The network originally planned to broadcast it on Sunday.

The interview with ABC host George Stephanopoulos has grown in importance as Biden has struggled to move past last week’s stumbling debate performance. This will be his highest-profile public appearance since then.

On Wednesday, Biden met with Democratic governors and blamed his issues on a cold and jet lag. He told them he needed more sleep and would be ending his workdays by 8 p.m.

He also reiterated that he was staying in the race. "No one's pushing me out. I'm not leaving," he reportedly told his staff.

Saks to Buy Neiman Marcus for $2.65 Billion

The iconic Neiman Marcus department store chain is being sold to HBC, the corporate parent of Saks Fifth Avenue, in a $2.65 billion deal.

Amazon will partner with HBC in the acquisition, which will give the newly combined Saks Global about $10 billion in annual sales. Marc Metrick, CEO of Sak’s e-commerce business, will run the new company.

The deal comes in a turbulent period for traditional brick-and-mortar retailers, who have struggled to attract younger shoppers during a general pullback in consumer spending.

List: Best States for Summer Road Trips

Looking for the best parts of the U.S. for a road trip? A new list ranks all 50 states by which is best as a summer destination, led by Texas, Minnesota, New York, Louisiana and Florida.

The survey takes into account prices, including gas and car repairs, highway safety and road quality, and the quality of various activities in each state, including state and national parks, fairs and fiestas, scenic byways, and nightlife options.

The list includes separate rankings for cost, safety, and activities, which are averaged together for the final ranking. The bottom of the list for summer travel is all New England states: Connecticut, Rhode Island and Delaware.
