Last week, I had my medical check for the Navy reservists.

Blood pressure, eyesight, hearing, and my fitness level were all tested. (I passed with flying colors of course ;-))

I already passed the psychological check (no idea how I could've passed ;-)) last month.

There was one guy, part of the testing team, who had PTSD. He wasn't fit to go on missions anymore but he was fit to help more people get through the testing phase.

Here's what happened. And, for context, we were literally in a locker room. With 16 guys. So, ladies, if you're reading this... Don't blame the messenger.

One of the recruits was telling a story and said something about not being able to sleep.

The PTSD guy: "You should jerk off, it makes you sleepy." 

Another guy was from the north of the Netherlands

The PTSD guy: "How are the whores up north?"

Another guy was wearing the jersey of the England soccer team (being a recruit for the Dutch army and on the same day our two countries would meet in the Euro cup)

The PTSD guy: "Which guy from the England team do you wanna give a bl*wjob?"

Long story short: the entire locker room was laughing, having a great time and bonding. The PTSD guy was litteraly shitposting the entire time.

So if you wanna make connections online, don't be the guy that replies with:

"That's a great thread!"

Be the guy that replies with:

"Damn boy, you're on fire! Don't let ChatGPT see this thread or every other thread boy will start posting this."

Through humor and joking around you make more connections and in the end, that's how you grow on socials (while having a great time doing it!)

TikTok is expanding on longer videos (and still at risk of being forced out of the US market).

Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, has instead declared that Instagram will remain focused on short-form videos.

He explained that: "If you watch a 10- or 20-minute video, you see less content from friends, you interact with your friends less, and you're actually less likely to send that content or that video to a friend." This would go against the primary function of the platform of connecting with friends.
