Pronounced willow-song, Willows8ng has put out guitar-led ambient music since 2014. With his music he aims to induce spiritual states, taking influence from Indian ragas¹ and the 432hz movement.² We’re first playing his 2022 LP, Mahaya, which exhibits a Reichian combination of motion and stasis, looping thought-provoking melodies and contributing the occasional chant. We’re also playing Bathe in Colour, an EP collaboration with fellow Torontonian artist Gollden, whose music and Q&A will appear next week.
