This week’s edition is being written from my spot parked in front of the Dyson as I sweat my way through London’s latest mini heatwave. Not that I’m complaining — summer sure took its sweet time to arrive here and I’m savoring every bit of sunshine we get. Summer is a time to slow down anyway, right?

In that spirit, this month’s three picks are all about that easy, breezy summer vibe. Each one helps you take advantage of the best the season has to offer.

I discovered LNDA, the skincare line founded by former model Linda Johansen during a recent trip to Norway. I was killing time at Oslo Airport when I spotted the 24K Gold Serum (£58) with its blend of hyaluronic acid with EGF growth factor and flakes of 24-carat gold. I usually have a hard time with hydrating serums because they tend to pill under my sunscreen, but this one not only stays in place but plumps fine lines, giving your skin a seriously dewy glow without any greasiness. It’s ideal for those steamy summer days when you want to keep your products light.

I love my summer sandals, but we all need something for those days in between pedicures, right? I’ve been a fan of Rothy’s, the shoes and accessories line made from recycled plastic water bottles and post-consumer recycled materials, for a long time, and now they finally ship to the UK! I’d been looking for a pair of Mary Janes and their red pair (£180) caught my eye for the slightly square toe and perfectly placed, stretchy strap. Comfortable from the first wear, the washability of these flats makes them well-suited for long walks on city streets.

Summertime is also a major entertaining season, which means one thing: host/hostess gifts. If you’re looking for a new idea, I can’t recommend Frantoio Muraglia’s delicious olive oil enough. Packaged in a variety of gorgeous vessels, a bottle of this oil makes an excellent offering for the cooks in your life. I picked up this version (£49) from one of my favorite UK specialty food sites, Sous Chef, and it now has pride of place on my kitchen counter. Drizzle it over a plate of ripe tomatoes or use it as a finishing oil for pasta dishes for some extra richness.
