The stories on this podcast highlight inspiring leaders who are doing the work to combating global poverty, bring clean water to remote villages, expand healthcare access."

🧩Woopie Town - Board Game on Disability: "Many organizations and individuals would love to learn more about disability but it can be a little daunting but change is a slow dance so I developed a board game to help everyone learn about disability in a fun gamified way. It is now available for anyone to use it as a facilitator led training session or just a nice evening with friends and family."

🚀Raízes: "Social championing business that designs and implements territorial development and societal & humanitarian transformation projects based on entrepreneurship as a way to empower vulnerable groups (e.g. womxn/traditional communities) and strengthen socio-biodiversity. Founded in 2006, Raizes is a 4th sector B Corp and one of the first certified companies in Brazil 2014."

🌳KDPM Equity Institute: "We focus on ancestral leadership as a pathway to increasing psychological safety and possibly thriving not just in the workplace but in life. We help convert ancestral wisdom Into practical leadership and lifestyle practice."

🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈Trans and Queer Fund Kenya: "Our collective was founded in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic in response to how trans and queer people in Kenya were and continue to be disproportionately disadvantaged economically and socially, conditions that were magnified by the uncertainty and insecurity of everything that came with the ongoing pandemic. This was an especially crucial time to concretize solidarity for and with dispossessed trans and queer Kenyan people in a country where colonial penal codes criminalizing queerness are still upheld. TQ is a collective space for dreaming about a non-carceral, care-centered anti capitalist present and future is nurtured and sustained."

💸 Fellowships & Grants

​L’Oréal Fund for Women: Supports frontline organizations to help women to get out of poverty, prevent domestic, sexual and gender-based violence. The Fund focuses on supporting women and girls’ empowerment. A specific attention is paid to refugee women and women with disabilities.
​
​Fonseca Leadership Latin America Program: Provides financial support for the current and next generation of researchers and practitioners in Latin America to pursue graduate-level studies (master’s and PhD) geared towards education and research training that is relevant in the design and implementation of conservation interventions that address conservation challenges.

​Ibrahim Leadership Fellowships: 12-month program to gain experience working at the highest levels of African institutions while receiving a stipend of USD 100,000. The program invites emerging leaders from across Africa to apply.

​Media innovation grants for Maghreb Region: Al Khatt and Free Press Unlimited, with the support of the European Union, has launched a grant program to support innovative media initiatives that encourage the creation of audience-based media solutions.

​WWF Food Systems Fellowship: Supports outstanding master’s or doctoral students to develop evidence-based, innovative, and interdisciplinary research on food systems at the national level to catalyze the process of generating an improved understanding of the country-specific nature of food systems and transformation.
