Meet the Team Behind The Sportsletter & Help Us Deliver the Best Fall Sports Experience
What’s up, sports fans?! It’s been a long summer and early fall filled with a variety of exciting sports. The Olympics were a blast. Thanks for sticking with us through it all, but October has finally arrived. It’s the best time of year to be a fan. If you have a few moments, we’d love to tell you about The Sportsletter Team, share a few updates, and look ahead to the best season in sports.
The Sportsletter was originally launched in fall of 2018 because, let’s face it, this time of year is the real “kickoff” to the sports calendar. The first edition went out to 400 friends and family. Six years later, with a dedicated audience of over 100,000 subscribers and a long list of partners and team members, we’re still striving to deliver sports news in a unique and friendly way.
If we ever get something wrong, publish a typo, or stray too far into the void of hot takes and clickbait, let us know. We’re human after all (there are no AI-generated posts here), and we sometimes make mistakes. You can always email us at Team@TheSportsletter.com, or contact me directly (Jeff@TheSportsletter.com).
We publish ~2,000 words per day (that’s 10,000-plus per week and 500,000-plus per year). For reference, that’s more than the first four books of the Harry Potter series… each year! It's a lot of content, and there's no newsroom of editors hacking our stuff, either. We like it that way. Independence! But that’s where you come in. In order to keep all of our content completely free for readers, we rely on a mix of support from partners and our community.
To help us keep growing the team and expanding The Sportsletter, please consider making a donation. Any amount will help to support the team and provide more fun opportunities for all of you, like giveaways, contests, and more great content. Thanks to the many readers who already support us!
