Last Chance: 2024 News & Editorial SEO SummitOur annual event dedicated to SEO for publishing and media kicks off in a few days time. Grab your full access ticket today!
We’re only a few short days away from the 2024 edition of the News and Editorial SEO Summit. Our annual online virtual event dedicated to SEO for publishing takes place on 29 and 30 October, and brings together the best and brightest minds to share their insights. This year we have another amazing lineup of speakers bringing their vast experience and expertise to the event: Rand Fishkin (Sparktoro) is our keynote speaker, and he will look to the future of marketing, identifying five key trends that will shape audience growth. Lily Ray (Amsive) and Glenn Gabe (G-Squared) will give their insights into Google’s continuous rollouts of algorithm updates and what they mean for publishers on the web. Brendan O’Connell (NY Post) & Edward Hyatt (WSJ) are digging into AI overviews and will outline the essental tactics for this new SERP element. Claudio E. Cabrera (The Athletic) shows us how SEO is best embedded in fast-moving newsroom environments. I’m excited to have Martin Splitt from Google join us to talk about page performance, user experience, and core web vitals. Ryan Kellett (Harvard, formerly Axios) is going to show us how Axios managed to expand their local news efforts in 30 US cities. Olaf Seydel (Zeit Online) will explain how to measure and improve topic authority, a key factor for success in Google’s news ecosystem. Andrea Volpini (Wordlift) talks about semantic SEO, schema markup, entity-based SEO, and AI-driven fact-checking for the news and media industry. We have Vivienne Goizet (BILD) diving into the unpredictable world of Google Discover, outlining her 5-step process to optimising for this volatile channel. My fellow NESS co-founder John Shehata will present his approach to SEO for elections, showing best practices and effective tactics. And yours truly will deliver a session on site migrations for news publishers, outlining risks and rewards, pitfalls, and optimal approaches. We will also have Q&A sessions with the speaker roster for each day, allowing you to ask your specific questions to our panel of seriously big-brained SEO experts. As before, the event will be fully virtual and online, with every session livestreamed to wherever you’re located on the planet via the Airmeet platform. This year, we’ll have expanded virtual networking tables, each with a specific theme: Technical SEO, Editorial SEO, and Google Discover. There will also be enhanced sponsor booths. These provide more opportunities to network, learn about our sponsors’ offerings, take part in sweepstakes to win prizes, and find links to resources and worthwile reading materials. Plus your ticket gives you full access to the recordings of all the sessions, available two weeks after the event, in case you can’t attend the whole two days live and/or you want to watch back the sessions at your leisure. At the standard price of $225 USD per ticket, NESS 2024 is already incredible value for money. But we’re feeling generous, so when you use the barry2024 code at checkout you get 20% off your ticket price! Grab your ticket today and join the first and best event dedicated to SEO for news and publishing: https://newsseo.io ![]() NESS 2024 Sponsors and Partners If you liked this edition of SEO for Google News, please share it with anyone you think may find it useful. |
