A round-up of the 5 most interesting sites added to Raptive and Mediavine over the last 30 days

Mediavine and Raptive have had a pretty average last 30 days - adding about 114 new sites between them (as tracked by Display Ad Daily).

Normally this monthly round-up email showcases sites that just recently met the traffic requirements of Mediavine or Raptive.

Their traffic charts almost always look like this...

BUT this month I am taking a different approach - I'm going to highlight 5 sites that are DR 70 or above. These are authoritative sites.

These sites get 100s of thousands, if not millions of pageviews a month, and have been for many years.

While their numbers have fluctuated over time, they have survived and continue to get a meaningful amount of organic traffic...

1. Sleep Foundation

Sleep Foundation has an entire team of medical advisors and an actual product lab where they review and test mattresses and share the results.

They also have a free "Sleep Assessment" that is basically just a quiz asking about your sleep habits and preferences.

At the end of the quiz, Sleep Foundation suggests various mattresses and other sleep products to help improve your sleep.

With mattresses costing as much as they do, and Sleep Foundation getting millions of visitors, I imagine this site is making an absolute killing!

2. Nice Kicks

Nice Kicks started out as a simple blog back in 2006. It's sole purpose was to create content for other shoe-enthusiasts ("sneaker heads").

Before Nice Kicks, shoe lovers had to depend on forums and message boards to try to figure out different sneaker release dates and pricing.

The founder, Matt Halfhill, wasn't satisfied with those options - a lot of times the content was thin and hard to trust.

So, Nice Kicks was born providing the in-depth shoe content Matt was craving. Today it is one of the prominent places to go to learn about sneakers.

3. World Atlas

World Atlas has been around for a very long time - it's been getting millions of pageviews for decades 🤯

Most of its traffic comes from maps - maps of countries, states, counties, towns. You name the map, World Atlas has it.

There's also a large education component to the site, with loads of history based blog posts. Posts like "Wars the United States Didn't Win" and "The Demise of the Roman Senate".

Overall it's a great resource and has likely made a lot of money over its lifetime.

4. Tip Ranks

Tips Ranks is a stock investing platform that provides access to analysts.

There is a lot of free content, but they also offer a premium membership that gets you access to over 8,000 analysts and their "expert" opinions on which direction a stock is likely to take.

This site has a great mix of blog content, tools, news and an actual product. It's traffic has exploded as of late - it went from under 1 million pageviews a month in 2022, to over 6 million paveviews a month today.

This type of traffic (folks with disposable income looking to invest) is incredibly valuable.

5. CJ Pony Parts

Last but not least is CJ Pony Parts - another site that has been around for decades - it started back in 1984!

This site is entirely targeted at car enthusiasts who enjoy working on their own cars, or even building cars from scratch.

They focus primarily on aftermarket parts for Ford Mustangs, Broncos, Focus STs, and classic trucks like the Chevy C10 and Ford F-100.

It's kind of wild to think they've built a great business by just supplying parts to a handful of cars.

Niching down does work!
