Power BI Weekly #285 - 19th November 2024
Power BI Weekly Newsletter Issue #285
powered by endjin
Welcome to the 285th edition of Power BI Weekly! Quite a short one this week. A couple of people have written about the new Path Layer feature for the Azure Map visual announced in last week's feature summary: Parul Sagar has given a general overview in the blog Azure Maps Path Layer in Power BI, and Bas Dohmen has shown how to combine the new feature with the Play Axis (Dynamic Slicer) custom visual to achieve Line Animation in the Power BI Map Visual (very cool!). Elsewhere this week, Tharun Kumar Ravikrindhi has written about a under-represented feature of Power BI in the blog Unlocking the Power of Power BI Goals (Metrics): A Hidden Gem, Chris Webb has demonstrated some new functionality in Semantic Link Labs around Finding The Size Of All Of The Columns Touched By A DAX Query, and through Chris' blog I stumbled across a User Group recording where you can hear directly from the main person behind this brilliant package, in the session Semantic Link Library with Michael Kovalsky.
