January's Guest Editor: Campbell McGrath

December 30, 2024

Dear Readers,

Poem-a-Day will begin 2025 with Campbell McGrath as Guest Editor. Speaking of the new year and new beginnings, McGrath approached his curation by seeking poems from poets whose work readers may not have seen in the series for a while, if ever, “poets whose work I really liked that I noticed hadn’t been heard or seen by your audience.” We are excited to share unpublished poetry by many poets new to the program with you this January.

Fun fact, and a little peek behind the scenes: January is historically one of the biggest months of the year for new Poem-a-Day subscriptions. Do you know someone who would enjoy Poem-a-Day? How about today’s poem? If you feel moved, we encourage you to share a poem published in this program with a friend, a relative, a colleague, or someone in your life who would enjoy. You can always encourage them to sign up.

Thank you again for being Poem-a-Day’s most avid readers and supporters. Here’s to another year of reading together!

Vice President of Digital Engagement & Content
