Not only back to work, back to winning! And the way you win 2025 is like this:

Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals. And make sure you do the most important things (first).

I used to try and cram everything I wanted to do in a week, in a day. And what I wanted done in a month, I tried cramming in my week.

That gave me bad vibes. I failed most of my goals because I was too ambitious.

So I reversed it.

Now, I set an easily attainable daily goal. That gets me in a winning mood.

If I can do more, I do. But there are almost zero days where I fail. And If I don’t fail in getting my shit done daily, I don’t fail at them every week and month.

For Hypefury, it’s important to acquire as many new trial users as possible daily. That’s the one metric I aim for. My KPI is the number of new trial starts that become paying users.

If I focused solely on getting as many trial users in but didn’t look at the conversion rate to paid, I would be a shitty marketer.

So, I split my time between marketing and growth.

For your business, you should to the same. Look at the things you can make an impact on. More so than any other person in your (small) organization.

And when you realize you can (or WANT) to outsource something, do it!

This usually isn’t the thing you make your money with. Like ghostwriting or consulting. But it's more like the admin stuff and other peripheral stuff you wanna outsource at first.

Once you know what people expect from you and you know what quality is in the minds of your customers, you can start slowly hiring new people to help you with the actual production part of your business.

Focus on those things and you will win 2025!

YouTube Experiments with a Floating ‘Play Something’ Button

YouTube is trying a new feature: a floating “Play Something” button. Here’s a preview.

When you tap it, it kicks off a video in the Shorts player. But here’s the twist—it’s not just for Shorts. Regular videos also play in this vertical format, with oversized buttons on the right for liking, disliking, commenting, and sharing. At the bottom, there’s a handy timeline scrubber to jump around the video.

Bluesky Rolls Out Trending Topics and Hits 25 Million Users

Right before Christmas, Bluesky introduced its version of Trending Topics. This new feature makes it easier for users to dive into the latest hot discussions on the app.

In the meantime, while growth has slowed slightly in the last six weeks, Bluesky is still on the rise. The app has reached 25.9 million users, a leap from 13 million in October and 20 million by mid-November.
