It's rare that I'm speechless.

I mean, I'm an introvert so I like my quiet but I almost always have an opinion or thought to add to any conversation.

In early 2018, however, I couldn't quite come up with the right words.

For several months I had been gathering onboarding email sequences and dreaming up a weekly series of dissections of those campaigns.

I had been wanting to show you exactly what a good email onboarding sequence looks like using real life examples from brands out there making it happen.

I knew that this series would be an opportunity to also share what's missing in onboarding, to show you how you can learn from what's out there and fill in the gaps for your own business.

Well, this is the very first tear down I ever wrote.
