Erin Schwartz’s hyperfixation of late is the prosciuttolike Rosso Francia, a.k.a. Languedoc marble. Erin first spotted it in Paloma Elsesser’s bathroom during the model’s Architectural Digest house tour and now can’t stop seeing it everywhere, from the countertops at Quarters to the restaurant tables inside the new Printemps. Here are the actually affordable pieces they have their eye on (including several at CB2).

Also on the site: Contributor Laura Neilson recently tried using a shoehorn and is never going back. Arielle Avila dug up all the best new stuff this week, including Miffy Baggus and denim Tecovas, and she also rounded up all the best jeans for short girls (including a pair from Nelle Atelier, which I own and love!). For years, Bite Beauty’s Agave was contributor Alison Freer’s holy-grail lip balm: “It was a perfect lanolin-based, slightly waxy balm — super-emollient while not smearing all over your face, absorbing quickly, and keeping your lips feeling soft and supple even through the dreaded 3:30 a.m. wake-up for water and doomscrolling. It had very little taste to it, just a hint of earthy, sweet, herbal notes.” Then, one day, the brand was shut down. She spent years looking for a decent replacement until someone on Reddit showed her the way.
