Cartons and bottles have been the standard for milk packaging for decades. But in this age of excess innovation, nothing is safe from overstimulated entrepreneurs trying to shake up your basics. 

So instead of pouring from a container, imagine dropping a dehydrated square into water to create a fresh glass of oat milk.

That’s what Milkadamia is introducing with its Flat Pack oat milk sheets. They use a proprietary 2D-printing process, to convert oat milk into thin, dissolvable sheets. Each sheet makes 8 ounces of milk when blended with water and can be torn into smaller portions or soaked overnight for quicker mixing.

Aside the unnecessary change in form of milk, there is some environmental benefit to this. By eliminating traditional milk cartons, the product reduces packaging waste by up to 94%. According to some stats, the industry is responsible for 78 million metric tons of plastic waste annually.

Seems like 2D Milk does have some future. Because Milkadamia isn’t alone in changing milk packaging. German brand Veganz launched a similar oat milk product called Mililk, while Slice of Sauce attempted a dehydrated condiment line—though it never made it to market.

There is of course an apparent roadblock — Convincing consumers to swap liquid for sheets may take time; after all, it is a big overhaul of the way we use milk.

At the end of the day, the real question is: what is a private, high-quality search worth to you? A few bucks? A bit of inconvenience getting used to a new engine? Or you can just stick to trading your data for “free” services. 

You Might Want To Stay Put

Wage growth for job switchers in January and February was 4.8%, only slightly higher than the 4.6% increase for those who stayed in their roles. According to The Wall Street Journal, this is the smallest gap in a decade.

Traditionally, changing jobs was the best way to secure a significant pay raise, but that trend is shifting. Factors like widespread layoffs and a shortage of high-paying positions have led to a decline in job resignations. In fact, the number of Americans quitting hit its lowest point since 2020 last year, and even fewer are expected to leave their jobs in 2025.

For many, staying put may now be the more practical choice.
