Trump: Tesla protesters are “going to go through hell”

In response to Elon Musk taking a hatchet to the federal government, Americans are taking to the streets to protest Musk’s actions outside of Tesla showrooms across the country.

Citing a handful of instances of vandalism, the Trump administration is labeling Tesla protesters as domestic terrorists, implicitly threatening them with criminal sanction.

In response to a reporter’s question about Tesla protesters, President Donald Trump said they’re “going to go through hell.” Trump didn’t stop there, equating college campus protests from last spring and summer, which were also largely nonviolent, with the Tesla protests.

And a Trump spokesperson doubled down, calling acts of vandalism “heinous acts of violence,” adding, “Leftist activists are nothing short of domestic terror[ists].”

In Trump’s view, anyone who opposes his agenda is a domestic terrorist who is not entitled to the First Amendment right of free speech.

Protesting Tesla is not domestic terrorism. Denounce any attempt to arrest and imprison nonviolent activists now.
