Dollar Schollar

Hi y’all —

Welcome to Dollar Scholar's 50th issue AKA *~first birthday!~*

Money created this newsletter last July, and, boy, a LOT has changed since then. In the past year, we've added 150,000 subscribers (which is an intimidatingly high number, though it clearly doesn't stop me from droning on about the Jonas Brothers). I've received hundreds of Dolla Scholla hollas, and — oh, yeah — there's a pandemic-slash-recession-slash-apocalypse happening.

But more importantly, I've learned a ton about personal finance. We've talked about credit scores, student loans and salary transparency. We've touched on everything from macroeconomics to investing to whether it's awkward to bring up salary on a first date. We've figured out what to do with our receipts, chip cards, tax refunds, retirement savings and Venmo requests... and we're just getting started.

OK, enough reflection. Let's celebrate!

Now that we're 50 whole issues in, I think it's time to test how closely you've been paying attention to Dollar Scholar lessons. That's right... POP QUIZ!

Click here or below to measure your Dollar Scholar skills. (Don't worry, you won't have to put in your email or any personal info to participate.) The quiz is 20 questions long. At the end, you'll receive a grade — and, if you scored high enough, you'll get an exclusive Dollar Scholar-themed prize that I created myself.

Got your pencils ready?

Seriously, though — I put blood, sweat and tears (like, SO MANY tears) into Dollar Scholar, so thank you for subscribing. I really appreciate it.

Remember you can always share Dollar Scholar by sending your friends and family this link and ordering them to sign up: money.com/dollarscholar.

Let's keep learning. See you next week.

Julia

P.S. How'd you do on the quiz? Did you like your prize? Brag about your grade and share any thoughts on the test by emailing julia.glum@money.com or tweeting @SuperJulia.
