PS5 Controllers Not Backwards Compatible

  • Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure video game developed by United Front Games and published by Square Enix.
  • Set in contemporary Hong Kong, the story follows Wei Shen, an undercover Chinese-American police officer on assignment to infiltrate the Sun On Yee Triad organization.
  • Gameplay focuses on Shen's fighting, shooting and parkour abilities, and on gadgets that can be used for combat and exploration.

Sony's PS4 DualShock Controllers Will Not Be Compatible With PlayStation 5
While the Xbox Series X will support the same controllers MS used for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 5 will not. Instead, support for PS4 controllers on the PS5 will be limited and arbitrary.

Specialty peripherals, "such as officially licensed racing wheels, arcade sticks, and flight sticks, will work with PS5 games and supported PS4 games." Platinum and Gold headsets as well as third-party headsets that connect via USB port or audio jack will work, as well the DualShock 4 wireless controller or officially licensed third-party game pads -- provided you are playing "supported PS4 games." The PS Move and VR Aim controllers will also work with the PS5, provided you are playing a supported VR title (this last is not particularly surprising, since these are VR-specific controllers).

Microsoft's xCloud game streaming will launch on September 15th on Android
Microsoft will launch its game streaming service, known as Project xCloud, on September 15th exclusively on Android devices. Project xCloud will be bundled as part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, priced at $14.99 per month, with a promise of more than 100 games available on Android tablets and phones. Game streaming will be limited initially to Android; iPhone and iPad users will have to wait.

"It's our ambition to scale cloud gaming through Xbox Game Pass available on all devices, but we have nothing further to share at this time regarding iOS," says a Microsoft spokesperson in a statement to The Verge. The lack of iOS support at launch will be disappointing to iPhone and iPad owners but not exactly surprising. While Microsoft has been testing xCloud on iOS, the company previously revealed its testing was limited due to Apple's App Store policies.
