Making $$$ by helping small businesses find softwares

đź‘‹ Hey Failories! It's Nico over here.

Last week's article on the startup failure rates (here's the link if you've missed it) received a ton of positive feedback - this made me realize we should be publishing more of that content. That's why 3 articles of the style are coming in the following weeks.

As it is already August, I'll be sharing below Failory July's numbers. It can be interesting to read what other businesses are investing n and maybe be able to replicate some strategies. Before it, here you have two new pieces of content.

INTERVIEW

Hope you've enjoyed this week's stuff. As promised, here're July's numbers.

Website traffic:

  • 66,364 users
  • 48,766 of the users (73.3%) came from Google searches
  • 79,432 sessions
  • 116,198 page views

Email newsletter:

  • 336 new email subscribers
  • 111 unsubscribes
  • 6914 email subscribers
  • 29.33% average open rate
  • 4.02% average click rate

Revenue:

  • $360 from newsletter sponsors
  • $864.36 from affiliates
  • $1,224.36 in total

Expenses:

  • $14.46 on PayPal fees
  • $35.20 on tools (Webflow & Promote Quuu)
  • $355.28 on a 2-month-subscription on Draftss
  • $99.4 on administrative outsourced work
  • $1,113.89 on +10 articles for Failory's blog
  • $550 on the research articles mentioned at the beginning of the email
  • $267.8 on more content ;)
  • $39 on Daniel Vassallo's Twitter course, which I'll be reviewing on Failory
  • $2,475.03 in total

Negative profits of $1,250.67! That's nothing to worry about, though. As I had a three-week holiday, I made lots of investments which required time. They'll be resulting in new content and project for many months.

If you're looking to get design, marketing or writing work done, I can intro you to the people we're working with ;)
