Dear AD PRO community,

One of the pleasures I’ve had during this work-from-home period has been making time to talk one-on-one with all the members of team AD. While it is nice to see everyone regularly in our usual round of Zoom meetings, I miss the in-person interactions that would just happen when we were together in the office at One World Trade Center. So these catch-up sessions have really helped me to feel connected with everyone no matter where they are hunkering down.

Last month, I had a great chat with AD PRO’s news editor Madeleine Luckel who, in addition to keeping you all informed on the latest developments in our industry, has been digging through AD’s vast, century-spanning, digitized archive. (I’m sure I don’t have to remind you, but just in case: Yes, you too can access it with your AD PRO membership!)

Even though the team and I spent a lot of time ourselves combing through the archive while preparing Architectural Digest at 100: A Century of Style, Madeleine has unearthed even more gems. This vintage material offers up tons of inspiration and readers have been loving her creative re-packaging of it into stories on bold, bright kitchens, plant-filled interiors, and other topics, as well as her close looks at iconic spaces such Lee Radziwill’s bedroom, published in 1975, and a story on Queen Elizabeth’s childhood playhouse from 1988.
