Great Resources For Newsletter Creators - Letterstack

There’s a disclaimer for this one... it’s my site πŸ˜„

But, hear me out - it’s really helpful for anyone running a newsletter or thinking of starting one.

I’ve pulled together all my bookmarks with articles, podcasts and videos about growing and monetizing newsletters. Built a very simple Webflow site to make them all available to others.

It’s been well received so far so take a look.

And if you’re not a newsletter person, check it out for my award worthy design 🀣

A Private Community for Digital Makers, Bootstrappers, Indie Founders, and Solopreneurs - IndieStack

IndieStack is a private, paid community of bootstrappers and makers. I joined yesterday and am liking what I see so far.

It's great seeing people help each other with their goals of breaking free from regular employment.

If you're looking for supportive, likeminded people check it out. And I'll be sure to say hi πŸ‘‹

Payment links to automate your business - ChimpCharge

I like the look of this very simple tool for creating invoices and managing payments. Can also do recurring subscription payments.

Aimed at freelancers but could be ideal for anyone with a small service business.

Low monthly cost.

Simple Twitter analytics - ilo

Free analytics tool for Twitter. Have just signed up so isn't pulling my whole history to show changes over time, but looks like it's better than the native Twitter tool.

The recession-proof playbook

A monster of an article from the team at Krit. It lays out a game plan for getting through the recession. Inputs from Hiten Shah, Rand Fishkin, Amy Hoy, Alex Hillman and Jason Resnick.

Really well presented piece and will help you think about opportunities (they do exist in recessions) and de-risking your business.

Highly recommended.

How to validate your startup idea

Outline of a well tested startup validation method. Do this and you'll reduce the odds of crashing and burning.

  • Define your customer – 1 hour
  • Read a book – 3 hours
  • Write your hypothesis – 1 hour
  • Create and distribute a survey – 4 hours
  • Speak to people (properly!) – 10+ hours

More detail in the article.

I found this in the excellent FoundersGrid newsletter.
