"Core Data is an extremely flexible framework that allows you to store anything from user preferences to your entire app's data model. Even if your app fetches all of its data from the server, Core Data can be used to build a local cache with undo and redo support all for free."

How do you use Core Data in your own projects?

"The app I work on is primarily server side driven, and for security reasons we don't save anything on the device. The cool part, though, is that Core Data is versatile enough to be used for more than just plain ol' data model storage. We collect a good amount of anonymized timing data to ensure that our app is performant.

Instead of making a network request every time a timing event is fired, we store this information in Core Data and make a single batch request once in a while, which is more efficient."

Can you please share a cool Core Data tip with us?

"SwiftUI and Core Data work really well together. Using the @FetchRequest property observer, Core Data will automatically fetch data from your store and SwiftUI will update your views all with just a single line of code!"
