Forbes - New Coronavirus Hotspots

It’s Friday evening, a good time to check in on how states across the country are handling the Covid-19 outbreak. In hard-hit Florida cases are finally falling, though the state is still reporting thousands of new cases a day. Nonetheless, the state has become the largest to fully reopen its economy, with all restrictions on restaurants and businesses lifted. Meanwhile some of the virus hotspots have shifted to the midwest, with South Dakota and Arizona now battling an increase in cases. Governors in both states, however, have refused to enact lockdown restrictions, saying that citizens have a personal responsibility to not get sick. At the top of the pack: Texas and California, which have had the largest increase in Covid-19 case growth this week.
