Forbes - Reinfection Risks

Today we found out new clues about how likely it is for people to get reinfected with Covid-19 a second time. In medical journal The Lancet, doctors described a 25-year old man in the U.S. who suffered a severe second infection that was genetically different from his first Covid-19 infection, though he eventually recovered. Meanwhile in the Netherlands, doctors recorded the first death in someone who had contracted Covid-19 for a second time. While this can seem scary, the good news is that reinfections still seem to be relatively rare. But each reinfection case raises questions about herd immunity and how likely it is a single vaccine will prevent the disease completely.
