Telehealth is booming as the pandemic prompts more patients to skip the waiting room and visit their doctor without leaving home. Private insurers had been encouraging these virtual visits in the spring, but more recently they’ve started to pull back on coverage. West Virginia University health care scholars Jennifer Mallow and Steve Davis explain what’s on the line for patients and providers.
