DIY

Jeda charger iPhone 12 MagSafe mod 📷

If your Jeda wireless pad charger is not lining up right on the charger and you often have to slide it up a little to get it to start charging, here's a solution for you. Get some adhesive MagSafe magnets from AliExpress and a roll of adhesive-backed microfiber to cover the magnets and hold them in place on the mat. Put it all together, wrapped and trimmed on the edges (you could use an Exacto knife), and voilà. Thank you u/TheKobayashiMoron for sharing this $20 project!

Solar, EV incentives, & Charging

Solar tax credit drops at the end of this year

If you're thinking about purchasing solar panels for your home, the federal solar tax credit is dropping from 26% to 22% at the end of the year, so you may want to purchase your solar before then. If we have been helpful in any way, please consider using our referral code when you purchase your Tesla solar panels/roof http://ts.la/ignacio9266 to get $100 of credit.

Tesla Solar Roof is becoming unbeatable by competitors

It took a bit to start a serious ramp of but the Tesla Solar Roof is here and it's here to stay. Compared to high-end roof options and traditional solar systems, not only it looks awesome but it also presents great savings. The Tesla Solar Roof is estimated to cost about $2.11 per installed watt while competitors stand at about $7 per installed watt.  Pretty amazing especially if you think about how this contributes to a more sustainable future.

Additional $1,500 EV rebate in California

If you're in California, there is still time to take advantage of the latest $1,500 EV rebate- California Clean Fuel Reward - including additional local incentives and carpool lane access.

New Supercharger with 56 stalls in Firebaugh, California 📹
Tesla keeps on adding new Supercharger locations and extending current ones. Here's an impressive new location with 56 stalls - the largest Supercharger in the world yet - in Firebaugh, California.

Wheels & Tires

The 2021 Model 3 has the same new Bluetooth TPMS as Model Y 📷

Contrary to early reports they are 100% auto-learning, no pre-programming required. No TPMS reset button so when you swap your tires just start driving and the tire pressure will auto-learn.

How much does wheel size impact an electric car's driving range? 📹
Tl;dr. Smaller wheels extend your range and are better for the environment. Check out this comparison of a Model Y with 20-inches and 18-inch wheels.

What the acronym

As a Tesla fan, I find myself sometimes having to remember what are all those acronyms, here is a list of the ones you can find in this issue.

  • FSD - Full Self-Driving
  • EV - Electric Vehicle
  • TPMS - Tire Pressure Monitoring System
