Forbes - The Under 30 Coronavirus Heroes

It’s December first, which means that we can take stock of how well America battled the coronavirus pandemic during the month of November. The answer: not very well. The numbers from last month are alarming: more than 4.3 million people were infected with Covid-19 last month, and a record-shattering 37,000 Americans died from the disease in the past 30 days. As always, some regions have been hit harder than others. In North Dakota, 1 in every 800 residents are now dead from Covid-19. But November brought some good news as well, most notably in the form of two vaccines for Covid-19 that are now pending regulatory emergency authorization. An official for the government’s Operation Warp Speed project said yesterday that every American who wants a vaccine for Covid-19 should be able to get one by June 2021. Whether or not this is actually possible remains to be seen.
