How Your Coworkers Can Improve Your Career Success | Leading By Example In Crisis | Why The Best Leaders Share

Hi Forbes Careers readers,

I may be in the minority, but I’m actually looking forward to going back to the office. Why?
My coworkers. There’s just something about being able to brainstorm over lunch that I severely miss—and Zoom happy hours aren’t cutting it.

In fact, a new study from the University of Houston finds that job satisfaction has a lot more to do with the people we work with than the actual work we do. The types of coworkers we surround ourselves with also can improve career success. Here are the six types of colleagues you must have in your network. In order to form these connections, it’s crucial to be clear and concise when you email and speak. Try these tips to immediately improve your communication skills at work.

Cheers,

Kristin

P.S. In case you missed it, last week Forbes launched its annual 30 Under 30 list, featuring 600 young leaders who have collectively raised over $1 billion in venture funding. Fun fact: 20% of the Under 30 class of 2021 are immigrants from 62 countries.
