Forbes - Politics During The Pandemic

As the U.S. continues to reel from last week’s insurrectionist uprising at the nation’s capitol, it’s clear that in 2021, politics and the pandemic are as closely intertwined as ever. Another Congressperson, Jake LaTurner, tested positive last Wednesday. And things might be able to get even worse. Today, WHO director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus issued a dire warning about new Covid-19 variants and said that more surges across the globe are likely to come, which threatens to take  healthcare workers and hospitals to the brink of their capacity.
