Forbes - The Future Of Vaccine ID Cards

Experts have warned for months that things will get worse before they get better -- and things are certainly getting worse.  A grim new forecast from the CDC predicts that there will be an almost 25% increase in U.S. Covid-19 deaths in the next three weeks. In other words, an additional 92,000 people are projected to die before the month is over. This is partly due to a surge in cases, as well as a slow vaccine rollout that isn’t yet offering much protection against infection. In other news, a fifth lawmaker has now tested positive for Covid-19 after sheltering in the Capitol building during the riot last week. Rep. Adriano Espaillat of New York said he contracted the virus even though he had already gotten his first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Business

President-elect Biden will reportedly soon unveil a new stimulus plan which is set to boost stimulus checks to $2,000.

Almost
one million workers filed new unemployment claims last week, as the pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the economy.

Walgreens and CVS say that they will be able to vaccinate up to 50 million Americans a month by the time vaccines are available to the general public.

Science & Health

A new study finds that a past infection with Covid-19 stimulates a similar immune response to getting the vaccine.

For some
kids, this year was so difficult both mentally and physically that it can count as an Adverse Childhood Experience.

Many respiratory viruses have seemed dormant this year as people social distance and sanitize. But when the pandemic is over, these common viruses are sure to rebound.

On The Upside

Another Type Of Green Incentive: While some places are offering healthcare workers money to get their Covid-19 vaccine, this group has a more dope solution (pun intended). A group of activists in D.C. have announced that they will be giving away free bags of marijuana to people who get vaccinated.
